Fromage Friday: Lancashire Bomb Our ‘Cheese of the Week’ is the legendary Lancashire Bomb. It’s one of our firm favourites and is bursting with personality and gusto. The handmade, tasty Lancashire Bomb is matured for 24 months, giving a strong but still very creamy flavour. Made with pasteurised milk from his own herd of Holstein Friesian cows, Andrew Shorrock is the fourth generation of his family to make this exceptional cheese in Goosnargh near Preston. Since the early 20th century, the same traditions and the dedication of one family have resulted in a fantastic example of a true regional classic. We recommend simply slicing the top off with a knife and scoop out with a spoon! Try on toast with a good dollop of Red Chilli Jelly and a nice glass of red wine. It’ll make a handsome addition to any table. Get in touch with your Client Manager for more information and send us a message if there’s a cheese you think we should be featuring!
