Front feet on platform Rear feet on platform Front feet on platform - sit, stand, sit (feet still on platform) Sit Pretty or Beg -- this is an excellent core strengthening exercise all dogs should (and can do)... Play Bow Spin (get your dog to spin right and left) Back up Back up onto the platform so back feet only are on Spin with all four feet on a platform Teach your dog to go through your legs, as if weaving. While doing so YOU will do leg lunges. You can stand in place and lunge side to side, you can lunge each leg forward and walk across the room.... this is good for you and your dog! I really want to see this in action! Work on getting your dog to put one front on the platform at a time...while you put one foot as well. So step on, step off switch foot step on.... Work on having your dog sit pretty then stand then sit pretty then stand (a doggy squat) .. for fun you can do a few squats too (with your dog) Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. Lean to your right so your right knee bends, have your dog pass through from front to back, then shift to your left and have your dog come around your left leg and through front to back. You are going to create a figure 8 with your legs while you shift side to side. Teach your dog to back up onto something. Then make the something taller and taller. Put it against a wall. Your goal -- teach your dog to back up the wall -- doing a hand stand - Paw Stand in this case! Place your dog in a stand with. Put a solid object just in front of his back paws and encourage him to stretch forward without stepping on or over the object Have your dog sit pretty (beg) ON something. Use a pillow or a balance disc or wobble board if you have them Have your dog work on putting his/her front feet on some sort of wobble board or balance disc. You can order them or create one. I will give you a few days to come up with one if you dont have. TODAY ... Get your dog to stand on a platform using only the right feet (front/back) then only the left feet (front/back). See if you can get a half spin to make the switch
