Frustrated Venting...Maggie has gotten so stubborn to do what she wants on walks that walking her is becoming a chore instead of something I look forward to. :( I feel she punishes me when I dont allow her off leash, and others have commented on her change in behavior off and on leash. My walk is spent reminding her that we are on a walk and not just inching our way to the next square foot of on our path. Shes either standing, staring into space, nose glued on the ground, or just not paying attention and walking all over the place at a slow snails pace. I wouldnt be so frustrated if it wasnt it new behavior. We walk more often also since moving into a space with no fenced in yard so she gets a bonus and I still spend more time trying to move her along than walking. I feel like Im dragging my dog along and people think Im cruel to her, need to fit her into a harness so I dont strangle her with her collar trying to move her along. Ive tried everything and shes STILL winning, I understand shes a Hound but this is ridiculous!
