Fukushima is a catastrophe for the oceans like none weve ever seen - TopicsExpress

Fukushima is a catastrophe for the oceans like none weve ever seen before ... Chernobyl was a horrible nuclear catastrophe but it was more inland ... Fukushima at this point is delivering something like 80,000 gallons per day of radioactive contaminated groundwater into the Pacific ocean which then flows our way ... it also bio-concentrates in the ecosystem in the food chain ... so this claim that theres no harm to wildlife ... I mean one of the worst data points (so to speak) was in August 2011 just months after this thing began when bluefin tuna contaminated with radioactive cesium 137 in their flesh had swam across the Pacific to the west coast of North America contaminated with Fukushima fallout ... they simply swam faster than the ocean currents have carried it ...now the ocean currents are bringing it inevitably to our shores ... and i mentioned 80,000 gallons per day – thats on a good day. They have 150 million gallons of highly radioactive water in storage at Fukushima-Daiichi, whatever they can capture that have had big leaks ... just 10-15 days ago they leaked 100 tons of highly radioactive water onto the ground which then flows into the ocean ... theyre having these big leaks on a fairly regular basis at this point. ... – Kevin Kamps, Beyond Nuclear, Radioactive Waste Consumer Watchdoghttps://minds/blog/view/329059635107467264/radiation-expert-california-fukushima-exposure-being-covered-up-kevin-kamps
