Full Moon Lodge 17.3.14 The Moon was full yesterday late - TopicsExpress

Full Moon Lodge 17.3.14 The Moon was full yesterday late afternoon just after 5pm in the Earthy sign of Virgo and is the last Full Moon of winter, signaling an end to drab days and listlessness. Now is the time to clear our emotional clutter and spring back to life ! This particular Full Moon urges us to shed our burdens, worries and bad habits to make room for new people, new activities and new ways of thinking and doing. This is the perfect chance to renew our energy, expand our vision and make a successful start to spring - I even pulled the Frog card for FB yesterday - all about clearing clutter ready to move forward. The Virgo Full Moon calls on us to see both the differences and the similarities. While we may be drawn to classify, organize and criticize, remembering that everything is connected - even if we can’t immediately perceive it - can yield a greater acceptance of the self and others. This Full Moon provides an opportunity to heal imbalances in our physical bodies through detoxing, gentle exercise, meditation, prayer, dream work, and getting our creative juices flowing. If we find ourselves called on to be of assistance to others, after all, Virgo is the sign of service, it’s important to remember that service need not equal sacrifice. To give is one thing, to give everything away or all of yourself is yet another. If we don’t replenish our personal ocean of energy and inspiration, we will experience an energy drop or an emotional drought that will not only deplete our life force but also our ability to be of service to others. This Virgo moon can amplify any anxiety or worries we may be having, upping our emotional sensitivity that may in turn create black and white thinking; when we lose sight of who we are and all the blessings in our life, and only see the burdens, challenges and difficulties, it can push us into a downturn, yet the energies of this period are about balance, so hopefully seeing both sides and getting ourselves back up and out there, will be the way to go. To whatever and wherever we are paying attention, we are manifesting so be sure this is what you want in your life right now. The key is to set your intention clearly - What do you want to manifest ? How would you like to express your creativity? How are you participating in life ? What is your passion ? And then get out of your own way and allow the universal energy to take you to your destination. Virgo is the Moon of humility, of surrendering to a power greater than ourselves, so that we nee to let go of control and become more trusting. The more we connect with the natural flow of life, the more effortless and enjoyable the journey becomes. The divine paradox is that in order to feel in control we must let go of all control and accept life as it is and not as we would like it or wish it to be, while still trusting our dreams will come true. Be careful not to become the martyr over this Moon, put you own needs as high as everybody else’s. This Virgo Moon can also bring out the negative critic, especially towards ourselves but also towards others. We are all feeling a bit vulnerable and raw right now because of so much planetary energy going on, so be aware not to over analyse a situation or become too critical of yourself or someone, as this could lead to an emotional blow up that is unnecessary and can be easily avoided. This full Moon can also often ignite the need to serve others, and planet earth, so if you have been feeling the need to do some service, this Moon will propelling you to take action. When we help others, it often puts our own challenges into a clearer perspective and makes us feel better about ourselves in the long term - a win win situation. Virgo refocuses our attention on the future by giving our visions and dreams more clarity and form. More importantly, Virgo promises a brighter, more successful future by allowing us to let go of the past, however difficult and painful it might have been, and start again. Fortunately, the Earthy Virgo full Moon, despite being the Maiden, is also very Motherly, always aiming to bring things to fruition, so likes to push us out of our comfort zones and asks us to start practically setting our sails for distant shores. It motivates us to start planting our visions and dreams in concrete reality so we can prepare for an abundant and prosperous harvest. Don’t just dream, make it happen.
