Full of so many emotions after attending the memorial service for the 19 Prescott firefighters. Just one week before these amazing men lost their lives, they saved my home and neighborhood from a fire just a couple of miles away. The service today was beautiful and thousands of people stood outside in the heat watching on a giant TV. Red Cross volunteers constantly circulated through the crowd, giving out water, tissues and sunscreen. I was literally offered water ten times. Prescott is such a special and kind community and I am lucky to be here. Gratefully, monsoon season seems to be starting early this year...let it rain!
