Full transcript of chairman Imran Khans press conference after meeting with the brave children of APS Peshawar today We went to APS today to boost morale of the children,But when we met the kids they boosted our morale. The way they received us, the way they behaved. As a Pakistani I am so proud we have such brave children in this nation. The first day that APS opened we were told that there was a special function and that the army chief was coming. We want to give the terrorists a clear message; that our children will not be deterred by terrorism. Education is our way forward, the entire countrys political leadership stands with the children of Pakistan. Education is an important part of our religion. Its our Prophets (PBUH)call that travel as far as China to gain education. I respect the parents who were outside protesting, I understand their pain. All I can say to them is that we are only bound by what we can do. One mother has requested me to come to their home and I will be visiting there following this press conference. But the children really boosted my morale today. We did a protest for 126 days calling for accountability in four constituencies. If there was no rigging we would back off. The election commission report on NA122 is out. This is not PTIs information, this is an official report. Invalid, bogus votes that are over 25,000 in number. No stamps no nic numbers. 128 polling stations had no form XIV, XV ...these are EC requirements. There were bags with broken seals that had been tampered with. Many polling stations had no serial numbers. Votes of NA124 were found in NA122. Such mass level of rigging, Ayaz sadiq should be resigning. This is the head of the National Assembly. This is a stain on the state of democracy in Pakistan. We need an empowered Judicial commission that can take to task and get accountability for evidence brought forward. All the evidence that has come forward in Jehangir Tareens constituency, we are not allowed to take it to JC, so what is the point? We are a tough opposition,we will not back off. 18th we will announce our roadmap. PTI is ready for local body elections in KP. There is no delay from our side. In Punjab and Sindh people have gone against govt on issue of LB elections because districts were tampered with, so KP also feeling repercussions in form of delay. The election commissionhas said they will be ready by April to call LB elections in KP. Empowering local bodies is a big part of our roadmap in KPK. The ball is in federal governments court right now. KP has two issues of displaced people. One is of afghans and one of FATA spillover. We need money to rehabilitate the people of FATA. KP facilities are heavily over stretched with over 2 million IDPs. Hospitals in Bannu can not possibly after to the needs of local population and IDPs, who we are told will be here for atleast an estimated time of one year. The provincial government is mapping out a plan on how to run double shifts to facilitate children in schools, facilitate people in hospitals in Bannu. There are 65000 schools in KP. With a police force of only 65000 string it is Impossible for police to provide adequate security to all but we have developed a security plan. There will be master of security In all schools with access to panic button that will activate 5 teams In surrounding areas. I came today to meet students and parents, in return they have boosted my morale. Raising morale of kids was my purpose. What kind of a protest can there be against that? I met a boy today who hid under a pile of bodies. When I saw his determination I just had no words. I was advised by the KP govt not to come on first day due to a special program by the army on the first day. The first time I came to APS the brigadier on duty told me exactly what happened on 16th dec. they even said some planners were arrested in Afghanistan. This is intelligence matter bw govt and army. Our purpose today was to boost morale of kids. Having kids stay away from school would be a win for terrorists. But seeing their bravery today back in school they have boosted my morale that terrorism can not win. Local govt schedule will come in April. Senate is in March. But we are demanding an immediate probe into NA122. A probe will expose exactly who the ROs were under, who printed extra ballots. Who will get accountability for the kind of election that happened?Sunday we will give our roadmap. We will never let this level of a rigged election happen again in Pakistan. I got off the car to go and ask the people what I can do for them. I understand there were parents there and I understand their pain. A mother invited me to her home. But there were some people there whose words were politically positioned, they did not seem like parents and hence I got back into the car for the purpose I had come for...to meet the brave children of APS. My purpose is not to spread fear, it is to come forward and reassure children and parents to be fearless. We swallowed bitter pill of military courts on demand of the nation. We are ready to fight along with the kids along with the parents of Pakistan. The morale of the children boosted my morale.
