Fun Fact of the Day: A subtle technique to con consumers is to offer merchandise on sale, while forgetting to code the sale price into the computer. When the items bar code is scanned, the original price and not the sale price is charged. This often goes unnoticed by the customer, particularly when he or she is purchasing more than one item. To avoid being ripped off in this manner, it is wise to check your receipts.* Myself, I have had this happen to me twice over recent months, whether by accident or on purpose.
