Fun Film Fridays!!! Today is dedicated to a true superstar: Ginger Rogers. Problem is, Ginger always made whatever she did look so natural and easy that one can lose sight of her accomplishments. Not only was she a great actress & comedienne, she really never got as much credit for her dancing skills as Fred Astaire did, which is why we were eventually reminded that she did everything he did, only backward and in heels. This clip from The Barkleys of Broadway certainly demonstrates just how incredibly good a dancer she was and could hold her own with Astaire--note how few cuts there are in this too.
