Fun and busy day at the Albany Capital District Dachsund Club specialty show and Hudson River Valley Hound Association show yesterday. 10 mo old Oliver Metzger/ Nancy Pfingsten Metzger at his 2nd show behaved himself and is getting the idea of what we expect from him. Very pleased with this little guy! Oliver was reserve this time. Cora, Amtekel Encore was winners at both shows. Lovely comments on her movement and her length of ribbing and keel which is really exceptional. Ch. Amtekels Red Moon, (Maisie) started out the day in novice a obedience where she would have scored a 186 had she not decided she heard Geri Lake-Dresch call her from the long down. She will improve her hearing next time and stay! Gotta love dachshunds in obedience! Maisie made Geri and I proud later in the day when she won Best of Opposite to Best of Breed at the specialty!
