Fun fact: despite her being one of the best known tennis players in the world, her last name is almost always mispronounced by anglophones. In Russian, the stress goes on the second syllable (Sha-RA-po-va) as opposed to the third, where it is often mistakenly placed (Sha-ra-PO-va). The incorrect pronunciation is now so widespread that shes just given up correcting people and has accepted it as an established anglicisation.
