Fun piece. I found no need to watch as I learned early on he has one tack and stays on hit no matter the weather. It has new years since he said something I found relevant or interesting, even if in disagreement. The President is a believer, much as Hillary and the significant leftist leaders of the past have been. He has learned some lessons well, though he does not want to roll his sleeves up and really dig in - this is his greatest failing from a practice standpoint. Would have done well to read up on his Tip ONeil. Thus, much like Carter, he could have accomplished much more, albeit more leftist junk. Thus the admission that he will simply act on our behalf. No attempt to use the levers of democracy. He will become an agency untoward himself. So very Wilsonian of him. We are also seeing what I have argued for a while now, he does not care about legacy at least not in the way we typically think of it. He is not a Bill Clinton, who was less of a believer and more of a political junkie. He will simply act, and let the chips fall where they may, forever claiming he was not properly understood or listened too, but in time we will see the wisdom of his actions on our behalf. Meanwhile, back in America...we may find an increasing backlash at both the federal and state level against those that have tried to pull us down this road. Though it may be temporary. The liberal bastions of California will press on and eventually pull all of us with them. If things like the Afforable Care Act are going to be tossed, which I doubt, it has best be done in the next coupe of years, or it will have taken root and the pain if changing it will scare too many miners of Congress. So we will shoulder on, wondering what might have been...
