Fun way to start the Monday. This was supposed to be a quiet day off. Blake wakes me up from a dead sleep to say,Do you hear that? As my ears adjust from dreamland and come into focus in the real world, I hear a car horn…BLARING!!!!! I stumble to the windows to look out to see what idiot is blasting the horn in my neighborhood so close to our house. No unusual cars. Hmmmm….. (horn continues) It seems to be coming from the back side of the house.(BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!) Maybe its in the alley. So, bed head, comfy pants and slippers, I go outside to investigate and have a not so nice conversation with the moron honking. (horn still going) ITS MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I grab my keys and run to get the cursed thing to shut up. Yank on the hood latch…… it doesnt pop (still…HOOOOOOOOOONK!!!!!!) For whatever reason, the latch is stuck. At this point, Im not sure whats louder, the horn or me yelling at the car (because THAT always helps). 5-10 minutes later(seemed like a solid half hour), I get the hood up and disconnect the battery. The horn fades to a blissful silence(aside from the ringing thats STILL in my ears). I pull the fuse for the horn and reconnect the battery. My quiet day off will now be filled with an electronic gremlin hunt. Most likely itll be a relay. Good MONDAY morning. REALLY wish I had a video of the whole thing.
