Fun with architecture! When I lived in Milwaukee, I used to constantly challenge myself to date buildings (made me an inattentive driver a time or two...oops!). Now in Chicago (safely walking!), Ive made it harder for myself: date the building, identify the materials, and the architect. Before I looked up todays striking building (totally unfamiliar with it), I guessed correctly at its date and materials - woo hoo - but missed the architect. Its the 541 N Fairbanks building. Late 60s, Cor-Ten steel, check, check. Architect (was thinking SOM): Harry Weese! Should have known by the ceiling in the lobby... :)
