Funding - British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships Posted: 10 Sep 2013 06:44 AM PDT The British Academy is currently inviting applications from early career scholars within three years of the award of their doctorate to apply for the BA Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme. The aim of the British Academy in making these awards is to offer opportunities for outstanding early career researchers to strengthen their experience of research and teaching in a university environment which will develop their curriculum vitae and improve their prospects of obtaining permanent lecturing posts by the end of the Fellowship. The primary emphasis is on completion of a significant piece of publishable research, which will be assisted by full membership of an academic community of established scholars working in similar fields. Applications for the Outline stage of this scheme must be submitted via the e-GAP system. Intending applicants need to register in the system (if not already registered) and should access full details by following the links to ‘funding schemes’ from the personal welcome page, and then the link to Postdoctoral Fellowships Outline Stage – PDF Outline 2014. Level of award: Awards are offered on the Full Economic Costing basis, and are normally up to around £250,000 Results expected: end January 2014 Earliest start date for research: 1 September 2014 Deadline for applications: 9 October 2013
