Funeral services for Mary Jo Hancock, 94, of Vinemont will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, with entombment at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mary was born on November 13, 1919, to R.E. and Mary C. Blevins England. She passed away at U.A.B. Medical Center on Thursday, August 28. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sergeant Major Norman O. Hancock (deceased in 1996); and three brothers, R.F., J.C. and Charles England. Survivors include her niece, Melba England Patton; two great-nieces, Debbie Patton (Bill) Schmidt and Tammie Patton (Gary) Watson; and a grandniece, Lindsey Schmidt.
