Update on Joey for all my family and friends: We just got home this afternoon from a 9 day stay at Summit hospital. Joey was admitted last week do to dehydration and possible septis. Both issues caused by chemo burn soars inside his mouth causing extreme pain prohibiting him form drinking and eating. His blood counts were down and his Oncologist, Dr Cecchi, (well I am here to tell you he is one great doctor. Not only does he maintain 3 different offices throughout the area but when he would show up for his patients at the hospital, we would see him no earlier then around 7:30 in the eve, usually around 9:30 and as late as 11:30 several times in the evening.) called the hospital and arranged him to be admitted immediately after his office visit. Well after those 9 days now, his mouth sores are gone, his blood counts have all come up to very acceptable and above levels and today he had a PET Scan done. So now next week we will here the results during our visit on Thursday @ 1:15PM. We all enjoy be back home and iI am certain no one more then Joey. He is dealing with some of the normal side effects of Chemo but by all counts seems to be doing well battling his cancer. Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts. You are all fantastic
