Funeral services for Mrs. Howard-Silcox will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till service time on Sunday. Interment will be at Hillview Cemetery in Alexandria. Mrs. Howard-Silcox, 71 of Alexandria, died Thursday, July 25 at her residence. She was born in Ruby, Ark., daughter of the late Billie Snyder and Gibb Stafford and was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Howard and a granddaughter, Jera Len Howard. Phyllis was a physicians assistant and nursing tech and attended the Light of the World Church in South Carthage. She is survived by her husband Ernest Silcox of Alexandria; son, Brandon Howard and wife, Debbie of Watertown; daughter, Mary Evans and husband, Jimbo of Lebanon; stepdaughters, Sandy Crawford and husband, Henry of Alexandria and Ladonna McClendon of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Larry Paul Bowden, Brandy Lee Bowden, Brady Len Bowden, Richard Mistone, Kimberly Williams; great-grandchildren, Layla Marye Bass-Bowden and Evan Paul Bowden; brother, Leroy Briggs and wife, Dorothy of Pocola, Okla.
