Funny how youre invisible to someone until they want something - TopicsExpress

Funny how youre invisible to someone until they want something from you... and funny how with the advancement of technology people who are physically closest to you in location will send you a text, email, etc. expressing their wants & needs etc., all the while not even asking hey how are you doing? Funny how people just didnt see it coming when it comes to something bad happening... I feel like while the world has been so busy playing with this technology so much - many have lost the ability to knock on someones door hey, how you are doing?... I believe & feel that while technology has given us the ability to connect with others en masse on a worldwide level and share knowledge - I still find myself asking - what have we really gained? Weve paid a price - I see that with the fascination & addiction to the attention gained in this connection, everybodys become a celebrity, eh? - I see & I feel that people have lost their abilities for empathy, compassion, reciprocity, and mutuality on a human to human level - with no technology involved!!! We all look like everything is fine & dandy and going great in pictures BUT how do we really look when were staring at each other FACE TO FACE??? Can you really see the pain, anger, fear, and depression one really feels in a status... are you really brave enough to knock on your friends door anymore? Handshakes & hugs are a disappearing commodity... who really takes the time to KNOW someone anymore?
