Funny story. Ever since I switched over to XFINITY 1 Ive had nothing but problems staying connected to the cable and internet. Ive gone 5 - 6 hours some days without either. Yesterday it was around 8 hours. Ive had technicians come out and test my cable wire, but of course its always working when they come out so they never can find anything. Ive even had one change my modem. Well 3 months, about 50 calls and 4 technicians later my problem was solved this morning. When he got here my cable froze and my internet went out, Thank God. He tested my wire and said I was getting a negative 56 reading on his tester. He asked me where my power source was that gave power to the cable for all my TVs and internet so I showed him under my desk where the first technician had hooked it up. Well low and behold the freaking plug that was plugged into my power strip surge protector was not completely plugged in so when my dogs would lay under the desk (which they always do) They were laying against the plug and knocking out my cable and internet. Solution.....he plugged it into my wall. Doh!!! I wanted to hug him so bad but instead I gave him a $20 tip. You have no idea how any times I have been sitting at my desk cussing my internet and cable and the culprits were right at my feet and a plug away.
