Funny story for those familiar with the tension that seems to rise when someone walks into a Ag facility with a camera: I went on a little field trip with three young ladies that are doing an internship at Progressive Publishing (my day job). We had permission to practice shooting pictures at the stock sale in Twin. When we arrived, my three intern friend headed off to the catwalk that overlooks the holding pens. What I saw was three college aged young ladies heading off with purpose and camera held high. From previous personal experience, I knew exactly what was about to happen (PETA attack) so I sat on the car and watched :) Sure enough, before they got half way up the stairs I saw no fewer than 4 cell phones go to ears and two or three people approach them from different directions. I started up to rescue them but a nice lady came over the intercom and said, its OK everyone, they are from a magazine and they have permission to be here and take pictures. Funny from my vantage point. Its to bad that the tension has been created but it is livable. Personally, I have found that if I call ahead and let people know Im coming, Ive never had problems getting into places.
