Funny thing ... over the weekend I had a message from a woman wondering why I was *intentionally* offending my friends with my Heating Up The Capital posts. She was glad someone had reported it and said I didnt want to say anything on your page because of the number of people who liked them... doh, what didnt you get??? Interestingly, I have received many, many more messages from people who are offended by (are you ready for this) my COFFEE posts for promoting bad health. My response: what part of its my page dont you get? If the neighbourhood doesnt suit you, move on. My (now former) friend said the only thing more offensive than my pictures was (in her words) your FU reply. OMG, I think she really did believe I would change myself to her version of propriety. Guess she missed my posts about the decade I spent being told what to think, what to say, how to dress and who my friends should be! Thats what I call the Thought Police. Sorry, folks, but if you think I should be putting parental controls on my page for you, then Im going to have to assume youre too immature to think for yourself. The thing to remember about a community is that the root word is common ... in other words, we have similar views. Notice I didnt say the same because its not always about the same, but for the most part, we roll with it. Thanks for letting me rant ... seems the older I get, the less tolerance I have for this crap. If you want to play in my playpen, happy to have you on board... well get along just fine. If you think I need to conform, watch out for the doorknob on your way out :) GOOD GIRLS RARELY GET THE CORNER OFFICE ;)
