Funny to see the way non-conformity is touted as the be all and end all in our culture; the mark of the self-actualised and emotionally intelligent elite. Australia, being highly individualistic, credits behaviour which services the individual over the group...and so by virtue of these cultural creeds dominating the public psyche the the act of non-conformity becomes, in and of itself, an act of conformity [to the predominant cultural norms in which we are immersed]. Not a criticism as Im sure it serves a functional purpose - not to mention fosters creativity and innovation - BUT...never a bad thing to be able to hold such things with a lighter grasp and in doing so have a chuckle at our own expense! > Cue Monty Python
