Furniture Since when is a motorcycle not suitable living room decor? Somewhere from being a young bachelor with winter clothes draped on the parts I hadnt worked on, or polished up yet, I became a Husband, a Professional, a Father, a land and Home owner.. with the old standard: A Garage to banish my living-room companion to.. Living rooms received nice furniture, and went from crayons and paper to computers and printers, and TV, and stereos. Meanwhile the motorcycle, not adequately ridden, not rebuilt every year, has taken up spotting the floor, and needing batteries and an oil change every time it was OK to ride. Listen! That bike talks to my heartbeat every day, all day! Like so many other items in life, it gets set aside in the rush to appease, to quell immediate or anticipated needs. That also means that a part of me that is vitally alive is sitting with that bike, waiting the time when it must move. Much older, grayer, I no longer live to ride, but I still must ride, to live.
