Future Prospects of World Peace. A short Article by Amb Mohammed Khan Peace originates from heart and minds of the human beings and even from the environment given to living things, they will act in the positive direction. Education plays key role in promoting peace. The peace education further strengthens the peace avenues. The schooling at primary, secondary, college level education particularly a properly devised syllabus of peace further supports strengthening of peace. The Administrative justice, promotion of merit and rule of law is like the pure blood circulation in veins of the human body. The discrimination gives birth to hate and continuation of it may prove disaster for a society or a nation. In the Eastern and Asian Block represented by Russia, China and Iran, the societies are much happier than the west and the United States of America.The societies there have no problem of food, shelter and clothing. There are nominal discrimination compared with the USA and the West. The society in the USA suffers from the syndrom of Government Theory of Exceptionalism which has created lots of the difficulties bad feelings of mistrust and hate for the American citizens around the world.Besides this practice is also violation of the Charter of the United Nations i.e. the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights as adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 10th Dec, 1948. Poverty in USA is on high rise. More than 26% population is living below the poverty line. This level is very close to the poverty line in Pakistan which is estimated around 30% of the total population. On the other hand Pakistan is rated as the 2nd cheapest country of the world.In Pakistan there are very few shelterless people, even they have some jugies and temporary shelter, they do not live on foot paths like the shelterless people of America in Chicago and other big cities. On the other hand , more than 3.5 million homes are vacant in the United States and equivalent number of the Americans homeless, why not those shelterless are settled in those available housing units? The United States of America have a debt of 17 Trillion US dollars to pay. China has invested 4-11 Trillion USD in American Economy. This is because a large portion of American Tax dollars is used by Pentagon for Defense. There are several hundred American military bases around the Globe. According to a latest survey report more than 63000 over head bridges in America are dilapidated condition and no attention is being paid to repair them. Americans have the largest GDP of the world. They have the capacity to bring peace and justice around the world if their legislators i.e. Congressmen/women and Presidents are peaceful minded. To be a prosperous nation, the Americans will have to start the education of peace at their primary, secondary, college and University level. Then, they may only choose the people who are peace loving and avoid conflicts and disputes in their Congressional and Presidential Elections.They can feed the entire world and eradicate hunger and poverty of the world if they play positive role by diverting their spending from war to poverty alleviation. Only pursuing the peaceful policies can save the America from being disintegrated and collapse as at present 33 States of USA have petitioned for segregation from the United States of America, Their plea is that the USA is following the policies of war and the quality of the life of their people is thus lowering. On the other hand, the Socio -economic Condition of Pakistan is very alarming.The people are very hopeless of the elected Governments which have borrowed large sums from the International Financial institutions. The major state institutions such as Pakistan Steel, Pakistan International Air lines, Pakistan Railways, WAPDA, Sui Northern and Southern Companies which were once in profit earning have been looted by these Governments. The Pakistan Peoples Party Government during its Regime have committed large scale corruption in purchase of Land for the Federal Employees Housing Foundation Bara Kahu, where land worth Rs. 200,000 had been purchased at Rs.23,00000 per kanal , the issue is still pending in the National Accountability Bureau. On the other hand, the Prime Minister Housing Scheme for Federal Government Servants through the Pakistan Housing Authority has also been failed.The Housing Authority had received payments from the Civil Servants to hand over the constructed homes within 2 years. Despite completion of 2 years, not even the work on area development and provision of services has been started. The PHA has also received full payment from some civil servants for the grey structure.After their failure, now they are considering to allot developed plots instead of the constructed homes. They have kept the money in saving and are receiving interest and the allottees are deprived of the homes/plots or their money, which has been devalued from Rs.100 to Rs. 33 in real estate terms. 64 Politicians of the country are reported to have 3 trillion USD in the Foreign Banks and Lahore High Court is pursuing to bring back this money home. There is no merit and rule of the law in the country. Only the Federal Public Service Commission and Provincial Public Service Commissions are functioning well as these are the institutions which are established during the British Regime prior to independence.There are serious objections on the formation of the Election Commission, Election Tribunals against the Pakistan Judicial Policy, 2010.The merit has become mere a mockery and subordinate to feudals and ignorance. The youth is not satisfied with the justice of the political system, though the present Government has launched Qarza hasna Scheme but its repayment mode is very difficult. The Government needs to introduce structural Reforms in FATA, in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan instead of undertaking negotiations with militants who have killed several thousand human beings. At the end, there is a need for the United States of America to abolish all discriminatory laws pertaining to exceptionalism and produce peace lovers in its future generation, who will play vital role in the real Global peace and subsequently they can invest their surplus resources for poverty alleviation around the Globe and their own welfare.
