G-MAN aka GODDARD..... So today was his 2 1/2 week check up. He is eating great, He is going to bathroom on his own. He sits up and looks at me when its time to go. He is NOT putting weight on the leg. I really thought this check up was a no brain er... Life is Grand... BEEEEEP Wrong..... SIGH.... Get right down to it. G-MAN needs yet Another Surgery on his hip and he needs it ASAP.Seems the hip isnt savable after the pelvis reconstruct. There Was NO way of knowing this till the actual time came to see if ready for rehab, the hip and muscles are starting to atrophy. So here we sit and you can say wow thats a lot of monies for a dog.. Yes Yes it is However, There is NO way of knowing all of this when you sign up to rescue a dog till you take it to vet.. then you make a choice, Our choice was and is He was worth the surgery. NOW this set back pops up.And let me Make it CLEAR, This is NOT a um OK this may not work surgery. This is he is on the road to recovery Now, yet needs a PUSH in right direction. Not good money after bad thing. the surgery is a grand. It is normally 1800, but the wonderful vet knows how much time and monies we have spent and they Want to help. So with that said, our fundraiser site on here stopped ticking. his first surgery/exam/xrays/,meds/ were 5600. Marina at the wonderful rescue is paying it as she can, and I have some amazing friends doing a fund raiser (will tell you more soon for it) But THIS needs to be done within the next week and we DONT have 1 grand. why within a week? because the atrophy is setting in more and more each day. not good! I with my little shoppe I have to put my whole life n savings into have No extra to pay for this or God as my witness, he would be in surgery right now. So I am Humbly asking if we could raise 1000 dollars ASAP to get him finished and ready for rehab, He is the most gentle creature. Please please find it in your hearts.. I am NOT good at asking for help in anyway shape or form, yet I am right now.A few people have asked me WHY I would get this involved with a badly injured animal. N my answer is this. (not a commonly shared story) My dad married my biological mother to give me last name, then they divorced. She had custody of me. at 9 mths of age, My father in another state received a Hefty hospital bill for me .. like 30grand (back then that was HUGE) he hired private detectives, found out why n took my mother to court for custody, he was 22. she won as women ususally did in those days. fast forward 1 1/2 yrs later I am 2 1/2 yrs, he gets a call from her stating, you have 24 hrs to come get this child or she is going in an institution. She continued to say i was not RIGHT, because i had NOT spoke in 1 yr. See the hospital bill was from her boyfriend babysitting me and i cried so he threw me across the room into a wall.. broken legs severed arm and a few other things.. So I got it .. dont make a sound and NO one hurts you. My father drove 4 states over and grabbed me took me in to live with him and my grandparents KNOWING I may be Damaged goods and MAY cost monies. YET He took the chance on me. NOW why NOT I take a chance on a beautiful Creature such as a loving dog, Whom i might add has had a childhood like i just described. Seems I was correct, His voice box has been YANKED out so he cant bark or speak. Seems his front leg was broken at some point in his puppy life and NOT fixed so he has a funny stance. YET he just wants to LOVE. I KNOW the FEELING!! When someone takes the chance on you... you want to pay it forward.. So NOW that i am CRYING like a baby... I humbly again ask.. Please please help us Help G-MAN.... i promise you he is worth it......
