GATLIN, L. MERRITT AND MORE EDMONTON (CAN): The top fixture of National Track League in Canada will be again the Edmonton Track Classic on Sunday July 6. Special highlights include Justin Gatlin in the 100 m, Warren Weir in the 200 m (in both races against in-shape Antoine Adams of St. Kitts, in the latter also Wallace Spearmon). In the 400 m LaShawn Merritt will face another Olympic and World medalist Luguelin Santos who will be back to racing after Rome Diamond League. World leader Francena McCorory runs the 400 m (against Jo Atkins and improved Anastacia Leroy of Jamaica), another US Champions are Jeneba Tarmoh in the 200 m and Duane Solomon in the 800 m. Canadian top star Derek Drouin is in the high jump. Another home stars event is 100 m hurdles, with Brianne Theisen-Eaton with Alycia George and Nikkita Holder. Men hurdles is having from US Champs finals NCAA standout Aleec Harris with Jeff Porter and Barbados champion Shane Brathwaite. Women 100 m top names from US Lekeisha Lawson with Barbara Pierre and Jamaican Samantha Henry-Robinson. US record holder Amanda Bingson is the hammer favorite and in men shot put Canadian champion Tim Nedow against Jamaican champ O´Dayne Richards and US Cory Martin. #edmonton
