GEM OF THE DAYYY ~Sodalite~ Sodalite is often mistaken for Lapis Lazuli. The differences between the two is that most of the time Lapis has silver to brass colored pyrite inclusions and has a deeper blue or indigo color. Chemically the two stones have very similar elements. Interestingly Lapis Lazuli has more elements than Sodalite by 7 elements! Sodalites chemical composition is Na4Al3(SiO4)3Cl which is Sodium Aluminum Silicon Oxygen and Chlorine. Tomorrow ill give you Lapis Lazuli to compare (; Sodalite is an intellectual intuition stone and is commonly known for its calming nature. I usually pick Tumbled Pocket stones for the Gem Of The Day but the Heart looks the prettiest out of my other Sodalites.
