ELLY TUMWINE CALLS GENDER MINISTRY "Stool" AS THE YOUTH LEADERS RUN AMOK OVER REMARK: Trouble started after the army MP issued a statement published in New Vision on Friday, saying Gender ministry permanent secretary Pius Bigirimana was throwing accusation of impropriety against him over Nommo Gallery because the PS “was still in shock after being removed from the high table to a stool”. Mr Bigirimana was the PS in the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) before being recently moved to Gender. During his tenure at OPM, big sums of money were lost prompting some donors to cancel aid. Mr Bigirimana, however, maintains that he is the one who blew the lid off the fraud. “It’s very embarrassing for a General who fought for the rule of law to begin playing hide and seek when he is asked to account for public funds. Gen Tumwine needs to be reminded that Nommo Gallery is not his property, it belongs to government and he must pay rent,” Peter Ogwang (Youth Eastern), said yesterday.
