[GENERAL NEWS] Wales becomes the first UK nation to approve a cannabis-based drug for multiple sclerosis (MS) sufferers. The drug is an oral spray called Sativex, and can be used to help treat MS related muscle spasm and stiffness. PLEASE NOTE that using Sativex is not the same as using cannabis in other forms. Certain substances that are useful in the treatment of MS have been extracted from cannabis plants so that they can be given to patients at a safe and therapeutic dosage.
