GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFFS REPORT Two men involved in ATV crash last weekend facing charges Charles R. Chatley, 26, of Killian Rd.,Corfu and Stephen R. Smelski, 35, of W. Main St., Batavia are charged with DWI and unlawful operation of an ATV on a public highway after an accident on Rt. 5 in the Town of Pembroke August 17, 2014. Smelski is also charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. The two ATVs collided at 2069 Rt. 5 in Pembroke and the two drivers and their passengers were ejected. Chatleys passenger was transported by Mercy Flight. Smelski and his passenger were transported to UMMC by a personal vehicle. Chatley and Smelski were issued appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Pembroke Court September 30th at 5:30 p.m. The accident is still under investigation and additional charges are still pending for Chatley. William Allen Roll, 54, of Clinton St., Attica, is charged with harassment 2nd, physical contact, after an incident that occurred August 23, 2014 at 3687 West Main St., Rd., Batavia. Roll allegedly punched another person in the face. He was arraigned in Batavia Town Court and jailed in lieu of $500 cash bail. Jessica Lynn Hill, 29, of Leonard St., Mattydale, NY, is charged with DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08% or more, failure to yield the right of way when entering a roadway and license restriction violation after a traffic stop at 3910 W. Main St., Rd., Batavia, August 21, 2014. Hill was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Batavia Town Court October 2nd at 1:00 p.m.
