GEORGE ZIMMERMAN IS ONE LUCKY MAN. LUCKY, not only last night when - TopicsExpress

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN IS ONE LUCKY MAN. LUCKY, not only last night when a jury found him not-guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin, but also on that fateful February night seventeen months ago. LUCKY that he left home with a fully loaded concealed firearm--7 rounds with one in the chamber. LUCKY that he killed his “suspect” because it only left one account for the jury to hear—his account. And, LUCKY that our legal system gives the benefit of the doubt to the defendant. Whenever Zimmerman needed a LUCKY break, he got it. Now, Zimmerman can get back to rebuilding his life, but it won’t quite be the same. Ironically, he will retain the right to carry a concealed weapon. For the first time and perhaps for the rest of his life he might actually need one. George says he fears reprisals on his life. So from now on, George has every reason to leave his house with his holstered firearm—7 rounds with one in the chamber. His “profiling” skills should serve him well because from now on there won’t be a black man that comes across his path that he won’t fear is coming after him—regardless of attire, time and place, rain or shine. But, even well armed, from now on George will be reluctant to leave the safety of his home, let alone his car. What does the future hold for Zimmerman? Well, he will be pursued in civil court for the rest of his life for every dime he has or will get by the NAACP, Al Sharpton and other organizations that will use Trayvon’ death to level the racial playing field. You see, this case has now made Trayvon Martin a civil rights martyr and keeping up the legal pursuit of George Zimmerman keeps the flame for racial equality going. It’s the reason why 90-yearold Nazis are pursued after all these years; it keeps the injustices of the Holocaust in the spot light. There will be no peace for George Zimmerman for as long as he lives. And, what about Trayvon Martin? Well, on the fateful night, the unarmed 17-yearold who up until the last 5 minutes of his life was minding his own business, did not catch any breaks. His LUCK had run out. Even before this case went to trial, Martin had already paid the ultimate price for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. But there was something else wrong that night. Mark O’Mara called the death of the teenager tragic lamenting that every day teenagers die under tragic circumstances. He stated that his own 13-yearold niece died tragically from a cancer affliction, over which she had no control. O’Mara was right. Trayvon Martin also was born with an affliction over which he had no control and which tragically killed him—Trayvon Martin was UNLUCKY to be born black.
