GET INVOLVED ALERT: City Council will be doing second and third readings tomorrow (Thursday) of Councilman Chris Rileys temporary regulations for TNCs like Lyft & Uber. @ATX Safer Streets held a rally that brought media attention and well over 100 supporters to the last Council meeting, and AMP was honored to be able to speak in favor of the proposal. Unfortunately, it did not pass in its original wording. After nearly five hours of debate, the resolution passed first reading. So tomorrow they will be doing the final two readings that will determine whether TNCs can operate legally with these interim regulations while the permanent ones get hashed out.
