GHALCA Top 4 tournament kicks off on 1st September. The Top Four competition, organized by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) will kick off on 1st September, 2013 and ends on 22nd September 2013 It is an annual pre-season competition, played among the first four clubs of the premier league. GHALCA the organizing body in a meeting with the participating clubs on Friday agreed to let the competition commence on 1st September, 2013. All the clubs but Berekum Chelsea attended the meeting. It was also agreed that the participating clubs will receive 60% of both the sponsorship money and the gate proceeds, while GHALCA receives 40%. Speaking in an interview with Metro fm, Alhaji Ali Raji, the Chairman of GHALCA said. “All the clubs have agreed to participate in the Top Four contest. The launching will be done in Kumasi on 20th August, before the competition begins on 1st September,2013 and ends on 22nd September, 2013”. The four participating clubs are Asante Kotoko fc, Berekum Chelsea, Medeama sc and Ebusua Dwarfs Metrofmonline/Thomas Freeman N.Yeboah
