GHOST PROJECT! Ghost projects abound in Nigeria! In 2010, an audit of the Nasarawa state government expenditure shows that N1. 97 billion was spent on a solar energy power project to light up the state. So the auditors from NEITI set forth at dawn to the project site located very deep in the jungle. After travelling for hours they arrived at the project site to evaluate the amount of work done on the project site. My people, apart from a BILL BOARD announcing this was the project site, there was absolutely NOTHING else on ground. My people, the Nasarawa state government which reportedly is one of the poorest state in the country spent a whopping N1.97 billion just to erect a bill board in the bush!
