GILLOTTS SCHOOL..... Gillotts School is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. It is on a 40 acre site on the edge of Henley Town. Gillotts was established as a girls boarding school in parkland on the fringe of Henley-on-Thames in 1950, under founding headmistress Betty Barford. Gillotts became a coeducational comprehensive school in 1960. Gillotts school has 6 houses. The houses are called: Athena, Brigantia, Calliope, Itzamna, Morrigan and Zephyrus..... In my day they were Camelot, Tintagal, Lioness & Avalon. Marcus du Sautoy (born 1965), Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science and a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford, was educated at our very special school, along with Sir Roger Pitcher???.....The legendary Douggie Phillips and Sir Andy Howland both taught at Gillotts along with many other!!???
