GIRLS KASA, GIRLS DIKA: THE TALE OF MY TWO GIRLFRIENDS - AKUA TUNDRALINA AND AFUA MULTILYDIA My girlfriend, Akua Tundralina and I were planning to marry sometime in 2011. She was preparing to contest the 2012 presidential election and I was anxiously waiting to become the First Gentleman for the first time in the history of this country. We had put up strategies in place to win the presidency hands down, but Tundralina went about spilling out all we had planned, and as a result, our political opponents got wind of our secrets and manipulated them to their advantage. Subsequently, Tundralina was disqualified. I thought she had learnt some lessons and would stop talking unnecessarily, but that was not the case, she embarrassingly went about talking to whoever would listen to her with the slightest opportunity. Most preposterous of all was when I went out with Tundralina Baby for lunch. She kept talking incessantly at the restaurant till some saliva from her mouth went into the food of a man who was eating indomie and chicken. The man was very upset and asked the waiters to come for the food. Tundralina wasn’t remorseful but said she deliberately spat in the man’s food because he had stared at her. A young man who also happened to be at the restaurant was appalled by Tundralina’s disgusting behaviour and called her a witch; and that was enough to bring the roof of the building down. She went haywire and as if possessed with a gbeshie spirit, charged on the well-built young man who had called her a witch; and it took the effort of about four men to restrain her. Later on, at home my sweetie pie Tundralina quarreled with me for not fighting the macho man who had called her a witch. Me, fight a macho man? No way oo. She accused me of not standing by her when she needed me most; and that was the end. She broke up the relationship! I was lonely for some time, but was fortunate to land another girlfriend, Afua Multilydia. Afua is a journalist and also like talking. If she wasn’t talking on radio, she will be talking on television, but unlike Tundralina, she is well mannered, and I somehow feel okay around her. The negative part of Multilydia is that she is a spendthrift and borrows left and right. The worst of all is that not too long ago, I suspected she was cheating on me, and so decided to send our 5-month baby to Dr. Nana Addo (DNA) for a paternity test and it proved positive! Last month, I had to pay her debts at the Trust Holding Company Limited, and just this afternoon, I received a letter from the Merchant Bank claiming she owes them five million Ghana cedis! Interestingly, Sister Multilydia is one of the people castigating one man for owing Merchant Bank! Tongues are wagging about her behaviour, and I’m scandalized. Boy abre; I’m fed-up with her, and in a dilemma. Akua Tundralina now wants me back; please I need your advice, should I stick to Afua Multilydia or go for Akua Tundralina? Anthony Obeng Afrane
