GITHONGO tells UHURU toresign or be ousted through a bloody revolution like Burkina Faso. Monday December 1, 2014 -Former Governance Permanent Secretary, John Githongo, has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta toresign over runaway insecurity in the country or be ousted through a bloody revolution.Speaking in Nairobi on Sunday, Githongo said the recent security disasters in Mandera, Mpeketoni, Kapedo and Westgate are forcing many Kenyans to acknowledge that there is a slow-motion security meltdown.Githongo said the increasing cases of insecurity are a testament that the Jubilee Government has failedto prosecute its core mandate of protecting Kenyans. The incompetence in response toinsecurity by top State officials including the President and Deputy President to this deteriorating situation feeds a climate of increasing fear and despondency, Githongo said.Kenyans were particularly upset last week when it became clear that the Head of State remained on an overseas business and pleasure trip while Kenyans were being massacred in Mandera. Githongo added.Githongo, who is also the founder ofInuka Kenya, said if Uhuru fails to resign in the next 14 days, he will call for a bloody revolution that will evict him from State House, Nairobi.
