GM FAMILY AND FRIENDS Luke 5:27-32 How often are we guilty of accepting undeserved admiration for our clean life? Its easy to give the impression of being virtuous: simply do nothing difficult, controversial or upsetting to people. Jesus said we are to love people who dont agree with us, who dont share our values, who dont even like us. Love requires that we get involved in the messy situations of peoples lives. He was frequently in trouble with religious leaders who were more concerned about keeping their own reputations clean than they were about the spiritual condition of those they were supposed to care for. They considered Jesus and His disciples unclean for mingling with sinners when they were simply trying to rescue people from their destructive way of life(vs 30-31). True disciples of Jesus are willing to risk their own reputation to help others out of the mire of sin! Christ sends us out to bring others in! (RBC Ministries) Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, I humbly come before You this morning to thank You Lord for another day another chance to share Your love with others. Another chance Father to be used by You in the furthering of Your kingdom here on earth! Thank You Lord for considering me worthy of such a task, and for equipping me, preparing me, enabling me to carry it out. Father, I thank You for and on behalf of all my family and friends, praying that You continue meeting each one at their needs. Lord forgive me for any and every thing I said, done, or thought which wasnt pleasing to You. Continue cleansing Your people through the washing of Your Word and strengthening us Father through the power of Your Spirit within. Thank You for strengthening those in hospitals, healing the sick and setting those minds free who are being held captive by the enemy! Now Lord as Your people prepare and go through this day, keep us mindful of Your continuous presence in our lives. Keep us safe from all dangers seen and unseen. May our conduct, our character and our conversation forever glorify You and encourage, edify others. Its in the matchless, majestic and marvelous name of Jesus Christ I do pray! Amen!
