GMA STORY: 1 OF 3 So as you Gma fans know, she truly has a following. I am blessed to know that I have staff at the nursing homes where she has been that keep an eye out for her. For example, the one where she is now checked ME last night on some stuff but thats another story Ill save for later. :P Specifically I am speaking about Denita Hicks who is the activities coordinator at a previous facility where Gma was. Denita always kept me in the loop of what was going on, and she was my eyes behind the scenes when I couldnt physically there. Like many of you, she loves herself some Mary Adams (aka Gma), so she came to Greensboro to visit her with me today. Well as soon as we walk in the door, I immediately get a report that Gma is cuttin the monkey!! They had to separate her and another resident just a few minutes before we arrived (my money was Gma! LOL), and she had been saying some ungodly words. Noooo!! Not our Gma! :P But sure enough, she is in the middle of coloring her picture and she is pissed off that we are interrupting her!! She told us to leave us alone because she is busy! SMH LOL Gma: Why dont you leave me alone. Dont you see Im doing sumthin? Denita: Ms. Mary, you are in rare form today arent you? Gma: No I aint! Denita: Have you been cutting up? Thats what the aides said. Gma: I dont give a *bleep* what they said. Denita: You have been cutting up, you cuttin up now. Gma: So if you already know, why you ask me then?!! POW!!! Gma, One. Denita, Zero. ROTFL Lets just say that Denita lost the battle and the war...Ill post the other ones later.
