GOD God, tell me why We, should witness things that we don’t want to see? And war, the war of men, against men Such destruction, where does it end? So now, now I dream Of distant worlds, and worlds unseen A world of peace, a world of hope And understanding Is this the world that God has made? So much pain in his domain And the crying of despair All this pain, don’t someone care? Will I walk the sands of gold Or see a wave of love unfold? When I look up to the sky I am reaching for a sign from you It tears me apart as we watch the children grow The rich man eats, while hungry die, the evil grows I think it’s time.....for you to call again Is there a world that God has made With no pain in his domain? And no whisper of despair Will my soul take me there? Will I walk the sands of gold? And feel a wave of love unfold Now I look up to the sky I am reaching for a sign from you Give me hope and take my sadness Show me light and take my darkness away THE PRAYER Help me Lord, to accept that I cant possibly know everything, And to rest secure in the certainty that you are the source of all truth We know that you have made everything Lord Help me be content in the knowledge that your Will is best Lead me Lord, into the path of your choosing, And give me patience to follow in that pathway However great the difficulties or uncertainties that may arise. Amen
