GOD WANTS TO STEP INTO THE AFFAIRS OF YOUR LIFE By Pastor Biodun Olusanya, RCCG City of David, Beltsville, MD Bible Reference: Luke 5:1-6 (The account of Peter) In Luke 5:1-6 is the account of a frustrated man (Peter) who had toiled all night but had caught nothing. He was a well-groomed professional but somehow couldn’t accomplish much. He was frustrated, depressed, disappointed, and had experienced failure. In fact, he was about to throw in the towel until Jesus stepped in. Beloved, are you sad, dejected, depressed, or have experienced failure? Are you about to throw in the towel? You may have toiled all night but have caught nothing. You may not be where you know you ought to be. Thus says the Lord: This year (2015) is your appointed time; I will fulfill your dreams and do that which is mighty in your life. Beloved, God Almighty is about to step into the affairs of your life. Your story will turn to glory. 2015 has been declared as the year of fulfillment of God’s promises. YOUR BUSINESS WILL BLOSSOM! YOUR CAREER WILL BLOSSOM! Do not give up on God. He will get involved in the affairs of your life. Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. Simeon Peter was a professional who may have had a degree in Fisheries. But Jesus Christ, the I AM THAT I AM, stepped into the affairs of his life and his story changed to glory. YOUR STORY WILL TURN TO GLORY! Beloved, Jesus wants to get involved in the affairs of your life. He is The King of glory. He wants to step into your career like He did in the life of Simeon Peter. When God gets involved in your affairs you will appear to be better or wiser than your contemporaries. This year (2015), GOD WILL BE INVOLVED IN YOUR LIFE AND YOUR STORY WILL CHANGE TO GLORY!!! EVERY IMPOSSIBILITY WILL BE TURNED TO POSSIBILITY! YOU ARE A CANDIDATE FOR DIVINE PROMOTION! GOD WILL TOUCH YOUR LIFE! There are occasions when NOBODY wants to help you or associate with you. Some may desire to help but simply do not have the capability to do so. THIS YEAR (2015), YOU WILL BE ENTHRONED! GRACE AND MERCY IS COMING YOUR WAY! EVERY PROBLEM IN YOUR LIFE WILL TURN TO GLORY! EVERY CONSPIRACY AGAINST YOU WILL BE WIPED AWAY IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS! Beloved, God will turn things around for your good! WHOSOEVER GATHERS AGAINST YOU, GOD WILL WIPE THEM AWAY IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS (Isaiah 54:15-17). Isaiah 41:11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Isaiah 49:25-26 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. THIS YEAR, YOUR DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS SHALL BE FULFILLED! God is able to do exceeding abundantly ABOVE all that you ask or think. He (God) is able. His words are yea and AMEN. YOUR LIFE WILL NOT GO DOWN! YOUR CAREER WILL NOT GO DOWN! Beloved, there is something that can stop a person and that is the Law of Diminishing intent. LAW OF DIMINISHING INTENT (LODI) This law says the longer you wait to take an action, the higher the likelihood that you won’t do it. May God save us from the Law of Diminishing Intent!!! All you need to do is to take action. Many allow procrastination and lack of faith to hinder them. Some have the desire to do something but somehow hope deferred makes the heart go weary. Beloved, God promised Abraham that he would make him a father of many nations. The bible tells us Abraham staggered not at the promises of God. At the appointed time, God’s promises were fulfilled in his life. GOD WILL FULFILL HIS PROMISES TO YOU! QUESTION: There were five birds. Four of them decided to fly. How many bird remained? CORRECT ANSWER: Five There were five bird. Four of them decided to fly and at the end of the day there were still five birds that did not fly!!! Beloved, there is a difference between “deciding” and “doing”. Doing is what is required of you (your preparations, your prerequisites). THIS YEAR, WE SHALL BE DOERS! WE SHALL DO WHAT IS REQUIRED OF US IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME! This year, as you do what is required of you, God will fulfill all your dreams. Beloved, “doing” is an active verb. It involves you “DOING” something. An example is fasting. You can desire to fast but the actuality of you doing it is another thing. As many as have lost their dreams, GOD WILL RESUSCITATE THEM!!! God is faithful. He’ll do His part if you do yours. Many times we are excited about an idea God gave us until unbelief and fear sets in. Beloved, fear is false evidence appearing real. Unbelief, doubt, and fear are from the pit of hell. We may feel we are not good enough or smart enough. God is ready for you. Cease the moment. God is saying to someone: GO FORTH. DON’T BE AFRAID. I WILL GO BEFORE YOU TO MAKE THE CROOKED PATHS STRAIGHT. I WILL FIX YOUR FUTURE. In 1st Samuel 30:1-2, David and his family had been taken captive. He was miserable. The people spoke of stoning him! The bible tells us he wept until he no longer had power to weep! But he encouraged himself in the Lord and enquired of Him. Beloved, God is saying to someone the same thing He said to David: PURSUE YOUR ENEMIES. OVERTAKE THEM AND SURELY YOU WILL RECOVER ALL!!! Beloved, all you need to do is to encourage yourself in the Lord. Pursue your dreams, aspirations, and career. Don’t look back until you overtake. YOU WILL TRIUMPH!!! STEPS TO OVERCOME THE LAW OF DIMINISHING INTENT START TODAY: Act now. If you don’t, you may miss your chance. Let your ideas blossom again. STOP LISTENING TO THE VOICE OF UNBELIEF AND FEAR: Stop saying “how can this be?” Elijah heard the sound of an abundance of rain. When someone made a negative comment about this, Elijah told that person they will not partake of it when it came to pass. YOU WILL BE PARTAKERS OF YOUR DREAMS! Beloved, let your past take care of itself. Your future is bright. God has an expected end for you (Jer. 29:11). TIE YOURSELF TO YOUR DREAM: Your destination is that dream God has given you. You will get there. There is a greater tomorrow waiting for you. You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you (Phil. 4:13). SEEK HELP: Seek God’s assistance. Take it to God in prayer. Corinthians 4:8-9 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. Beloved, there’s a seed of greatness in you. Allow it to germinate and blossom. God will surprise you. You may have suffered setbacks or emotional imbalances. Cry to God for His divine involvement. Employ the everlasting arm of God to fight for you. You are more than a conqueror. It’s not over until it is over. The biggest mistake the enemy made is to oppress you because you have cried to God and he has gotten involved I your case. You are a winner because the battle is the Lord’s. You may have sustained a black eye or a burst lip. Don’t worry. YOU WILL COME BACK STRONGER! God will lift you up. God is releasing a new anointing upon you and a new favor. Beloved, God wants to get involved in the affairs of your life. He will restore your fortune. He will restore your children and your future. God is saying to someone: I HAVE HEARD YOUR GROANING. He (God) will turn your story to glory in such a way that all eyes shall see it and say of a truth you serve a living God. Let us pray… Song: The testimony of my life, the testimony of my life…people will see it, they will hear it…the testimony of my life! The Lord gave the word; great is the company of those that published it (Psalm 68:11).
