GOD WOKE ME UP THIS MORNING, QUITE LITERALLY! After a hectic one-week conference in Addis I got to my room last night and after texting my wife just slept like a bag! I forgot to put on the alarm yet the morning programme required precision: Our Ambassador was to pick me at 7am to go to join our Deputy President in readiness for an 8am appointment with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn. Early in the morning, something taps me and I open my eyes only to see the sun rays penetrating my room with such brightness and I thought it must be 9am or something. So I go oh my God!
