DO NOT BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF IN UNSUCCESSFUL JOB INTERVIEW A young lady once went for an interview for a job she applied to .She did very well by her own standards. She was sure she would get the job. After weeks of not hearing from the employers she decided to follow up by calling and she was careful not to seem desperate but to show real interest in the job. She was told "we are not ready and when we are, we will call you." Sometime later after her follow up calls, she was called and told she was the successful applicant. She was asked to come for her appointment letter the next day and was congratulated on the phone. The next day she dressed up looking very smart and went to the office to pick up her appointment. When he got there she was directed to the HR managers office. The HR manager was holding the letter in hand but decided to chat her before giving out the letter. The chat was started with congratulations to the lady. After some few minutes of the chat a call came through to the HR manager not to give out the job to the lady. This call was from the board chairman of the organisation who said he has someone that must be given the job. The HR manager got so confused and and finally decided on a way out. He excused himself and told his assistant to tell the lady to go home and that they would call her back later. She was told there is something that must be sorted out before the appointment. The lady went home so heart broken and disappointed . This is because she saw the appointment letter with her name on it. Yet the job was never to be hers for she was never called back. This a true story and an example of what is going on these days. Prepare well for an interview, give it your best shot and pray before and after. Also be in a good relationship with your God. Having satisfied these conditions if you donot get the job, thank God and move on. Do not ever feel bad for yourself. Never ever blame yourself for not getting that job. This is because as the story of this lady demonstrated several factors act in determining your success in securing that job. If securing a job prove so difficult it is not bad trying something on your own. For all you know that is the door opened for you. Do not be too hard on yourself after a failed interview. For you may not have performed badly. You could check yourself, correct any weakness you identify and move on. Move on because it is not certain that that weakness is what cause you the job but work on it anyway. Not too hard on yourself to the extent losing hope in other oppotunities for there is a job out there just waiting for you. Cheer up and move on for this world is full of opportunities and your stake is in it. Do know that, you can only do your best the rest is out of your hands.
