Spring is in the air and the La Dolce Casa Ice Cream Truck is hitting the streets and neighborhoods on Tower Barracks and Netzaberg for the spring/summer season bringing you all of your favorite flavors. Today from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Rose Barracks ACS the Employment Readiness Program will be hosting the first ever “Ready for Work Event”! The Bavarian Community Spouses Club and community members have donated suits and professional business clothes for men and women! Professionals will be on hand to help teach life skills as well as provide live demonstrations. There is a raffle with four grand prizes and there will be additional door prizes but you must be present to win! Please call ACS to register. If you have a teen that’s looking to make some extra money babysitting, they’re in luck. The American Red Cross Babysitter Training (ages 11-17) course is 29-30 March. On Friday, the Bavaria Community & Spouses’ Club is hosting a Little Black Dress Luncheon, and you’re invited. Join the BCSC for their March luncheon at DKs Steakhouse, AM Waldbad 4, 92655 Grafenwoehr. They will be performing the famous Little Black Dress Skit and enjoying a fabulous lunch with friends. Lunch is from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and the cost is €10. The Tower Barracks Gates will undergo Quarterly Barrier Maintenance this week (18-21 March). Please expect short delays and detours to at the gates while they conduct maintenance of the pop-up barriers, traffic arms and tire-shredders. DPW will post detour signs where necessary. Please, follow DPW/Gate guard instructions.
