GOP Friends: We know that it has been over a decade since a Republican has won statewide office. We also know that Sen. Merkley is rated the most liberal Senator (further left than even the one registered Communist in the Senate); that is too far left for Oregon. So the ultimate objective is to get rid of Merkley. How do we do that? We nominate someone who has a proven track record of winning tough elections in a Democrat district. Jason Conger beat an incumbent Democrat (who was well-known in the community and is the wife of a longtime district attorney) in 2010 and then in 2012, when the district was gerrymandered even farther in favor of Democrats, Jason won re-election. In fact, in 2012, Gov. Romney lost to Pres. Obama by 12 percent in House District 54 while Conger won by 12 percent. He did that by appealing to unaffiliated voters while not sacrificing his core values. House District 54 mirrors the Oregon statewide demographic, and if we truly want to win, we need to nominate somebody who has a proven track record of winning elections. The only person of the 5 GOP candidates who has such a track record is Jason Conger. Jason Conger for U.S. Senate
