GOSPEL MUSIC LOVERS ARE IN FOR A TREAT F# (F sharp) is proud to present its fifth concert for 2013, the “Worship Experienc2”. The concert will feature the hot, up and coming jazz musos such as Lesego Mokgatle, Kevin Prince Maduna, Duduzile Makhoba and many more. These young beautiful voices will be accompanied by the band of their peers The concert will take place on Saturday 20th July 2013, at the Soweto Theatre with tickets selling for as cheap as R80 at the door. F# founder and organizer, Thandi Mbumbe says “the organization is a channel for young musicians (generally music students) to brand themselves, to share their gifts with family and friends and help them expand their fan- base. F# understands the hardship of being a musician let alone being a student and encourages the young performers to keep going with career pursuit.” Most of the musicians who will take the stage on Saturday have been backing vocalists and F# has laid the foundation for them to launch themselves as solo artists. Duduzile Makhoba, says the experience she gained from school choirs, Umoja, being a backing vocalist for Jaziel Brothers including her Music Diploma from Central Johannesburg College has prepared her for this day and the audience should be prepared to be wowed! Mbumbe organizes these concerts from her own pocket and she is in the process of getting F# fully registered. Since she provides a platform for the future stars she wishes to extent invitations to young sound and lights engineer students and starting-up professionals who wishes to share their knowledge and improve their skills further to contact her for future shows.
