Harold Thompson). *The Savettes formed in Philadelphia, PA in 1962. The choir gained national prominence through their participation in the first Gospel Music Workshop of America held in Detroit, MI in 1967. The Savettes have ministered through song with many Gospel greats such as Shirley Caesar, the Hawkins Family and the late Rev. James Cleveland and continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song. Some of their signature songs are: Mercy, Sunshine Follows Rain, Sunrise Tomorrow and Songs of Praises. #PhillyGospel
