GOT THEOLOGY? Theology: the study of religious faith, practice, and experience; especially : the study of God and of Gods relation to the world. Concerning the doctrines of our faith, they’re firmly set in the annals or chronicles of Holy Writ. The Scriptures teach us to neither add to or to take away from them, yet there are those whom introduce doctrines which are inspired by demons. A heresy usually has truth mingled in with the lie that leads away from biblical truths that transform us into the image of Christ through our faith, practice, and experience. A definition I like to use concerning heresy is that a heresy takes us pass what God intend for the meaning of a legitimate doctrine. There have seen many aberrant movements as well as doctrines which have been introduced into the ecclesia ( the church ) and getting worse in these last days. We have hyper this and that which denies the sound biblical teaching of scripture. Apostasy is a real biblical definition for those who turn from established biblical doctrine then add or take away from it, or defect to another religion all together. When this occurs they are no longer a part of the body of Christ, but a self-made religious person who propagates another gospel hence a heretic. We could name several references which point to this truth being emphasized in scripture. However the last part of the above definition concerning theology is quite something else. No one in this life will ever be able to know the fullest of God or to fully comprehend him. Why? He is infinite, we are finite. He is without bounds, we are limited by our boundaries. He is all knowing, we can never learn all he knows. He is all powerful, we can only harness a limited amount of power out of ourselves. He is ever present, there is no place he is not, we are stationary we can only be one place at a time. He is Creator, we are created. Brethren keep the faith today, by keeping this principle “ Study to show yourself approved unto God, a worker who needs not to be ashamed, rightly defining the Word of God “.
