GOVERNMENT OF SIERRA LEONE Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources 5th Floor, Youyi Building Brookfields, Freetown GOVERNMENT’S POSITION ON CURRENT SITUATION OF AFRICAN MINERALS LIMITED Freetown, 24th November 2014. The attention of the Government of Sierra Leone has been drawn to a Notice issued by the London Stock Exchange RNS Number: 5385X dated 20th November, 2014, regarding temporary suspension of Trading on AIM, African Minerals Limited. The Government, being a strategic partner and holder of the principal asset which is being mined, notes with grave concern the effects of this Notice. Government is also aware that the difficulties facing African Minerals Limited may adversely affect the welfare of employees and the country’s national revenue generation among many others. Government, as a strategic partner, wishes it to be known that any investor who desires to invest or take over African Minerals Limited as a result of the present situation, must fully collaborate or consult with the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources. Any transaction concluded without recourse to the Government of Sierra Leone will not necessarily enjoy the concurrence or sanction of Government. This notice is issued to avoid any misunderstanding with potential investors.
